A game I have always played when I travel is to pick out a building where I would start my new design business if I were to move to the area. The challenge I have created has to look inexpensive has to look like it is of little interest to most anyone else. I would buy it for a great discount and then turn it into that magical space that sparks everyones imagination. Usually the building is some old post office, a closed bank or abandoned gas station. On this day in Pasadena I saw this building and since it already had my name on it, I thought "this would be the one". I'll bet the space up top would have great light and the downstairs front had a nice little retail facade. The back had access for large equipment so we could do film and video. Somehow this being in Pasadena, I don't think this falls into the "inexpensive" category!
