typography exploration

Typography is a world within itself. I had a professor in college that had his students trace hundreds of different type fonts. Once we could show him we had an understanding of the different letterforms, he then had us trace layouts. Tedious, time consuming and mindless as it all may have seemed, the exercises have taught me a real appreciation for innovative type exploration.
