Twenty-eight years ago my good friend Greg Fisher and I set up camp/our design office in downtown Phoenix, right on the railroad tracks. The rent was right $400 a month and we had the entire top floor of the building. The windows have been boarded up but the building still stands, now for storage. The space was great, the energy was amazing, it was a great beginning.
